Miles Kelly posted 17 points, grabbed 4 boards, added 2 assists, and a steal in last night's game vs. The Lakers. He was shooting 50% from the field (6-for-12) and 37.5% from three (3-for-8).
Jaylin Williams, also on the Mavs' Summer League roster, did not play due to a coach’s decision. The same went for Denver Jones and Chaney Johnson for the Cavaliers' game.
Wrapping up - yes, I know it's just summer league. And yes, I am biased. I want our guys Miles Kelly, Johni Broome, Dylan Cardwell, Jay Will, Denver Jones, and Chaney Johnson to shine in this brief but critical opportunity they have. There's a lot of work to be done for the majority of these players, including Kelly, if they want real NBA playing time. I miss last year's team, thus the coverage for these summer league games. The Auburn faithful's favorite players have real opportunity at the line and it's just exciting to watch them try to take full advantage of it.
